'RIIZE' member Seunghan penned a heartfelt letter to fans ahead of his return, marking 10 months since he paused his activities.
On October 11, SM Entertainment announced Seunghan’s rejoining of RIIZE. Following the announcement, Seunghan shared a handwritten letter, stating, "I sincerely want to apologize to the members and the fans."
In the letter, Seunghan reflected on the controversy surrounding his past photos. "When the pre-debut photos were made public, although it was me, I felt a deep sense of disappointment and regret toward myself. I can't even imagine how the members and fans must have felt."
Seunghan’s private life became the subject of controversy right after his debut. Someone continuously leaked his pre-debut personal videos and photos. As a result, Seunghan had to halt his activities less than three months after his debut.
He expressed his remorse, saying, "I am deeply sorry to the fans who supported me from the very beginning and to those who were hurt by my immature actions. I also feel guilty toward the members, with whom I should have worked hard together."
Seunghan admitted to feeling overwhelmed. "I felt a lot of guilt, and at the same time, I felt despair thinking that I wouldn’t be able to be with them."
He also struggled with uncertainty about the future, wondering, "Will I be able to stand on stage again?" and "Can I continue making music?"
However, the six members of RIIZE extended their support. Seunghan expressed his gratitude, saying, "I was thinking more realistically, but during that time, the members reached out to me again."
He continued, "I know it must have been a difficult decision for them, and I am incredibly grateful and sorry for the opportunity they’ve given me."
Seunghan promised to do his best for RIIZE moving forward. "I feel a sense of burden and, of course, fear, but because you’ve placed your trust in me, I feel the need to work even harder and do better."
In conclusion, he vowed to be a responsible member. "I will work hard to make sure I don’t tarnish the achievements the members have built. I want to become an indispensable part of the team, RIIZE."
