'Stray Kids' Felix gave back on his birthday.
Felix donated 50 million won each to UNICEF and World Vision to celebrate his birthday on the 15th, totaling 100 million won.
The donations will be used for nutrition and water hygiene support projects for children in Laos and 'Morning Mercy', a breakfast support program for children with dietary vulnerabilities in Korea.
Felix previously donated 100 million won in January for children in Laos who suffer from poor nutrition and water hygiene. Once again, the company continued its warmth by donating funds.
He is also the youngest member of UNICEF's Honor's Club, a group of the organization's largest donors. In February, he traveled to Laos to visit UNICEF's project sites. He encountered a variety of challenges faced by local children.
“Laos children always had bright smiles even in difficult circumstances,” he said, ”and I want to continue to contribute my strength and love to protect their innocent hearts.”
“I am so grateful to share the precious love I received from my fans with the children and make their day even more special. We are happy that we were able to fulfill their birthday wishes.”
“Felix's work with children around the world with his heartfelt affection is inspiring,” said Mi-Jin Cho, Executive Director of UNICEF Korea.
UNICEF is the only organization whose role in promoting children's rights is explicitly mentioned in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. UNICEF is a United Nations agency that works on health, nutrition, water and sanitation, education, protection, and emergency relief for children around the world.
