Jay Park announces 6th album..."R&B album after 8 years”
Singer Jay Park is returning with an R&B album.
On the 19th, Jay Park uploaded the prologue of his 6th studio album “THE ONE YOU WANTED” on MoreVision's official YouTube channel.
The video is about 5 minutes and 26 seconds long. “It's been eight years since we released an R&B album since 'Everything You Wanted' in 2016,” Jay Park said about the new album.
He expressed his confidence in the title track. “It's been a long time since I've had a title track,” he said, adding, ”It will be filled with a sophisticated vibe.”
Jay Park also said, “I think it will be a meaningful album for MoreVision and the Korean music market. We strived for an album that is more than just a trend,” he said.
Local and international artists participated. American rappers Ty Dolla $ign, YG, and P-Lo were featured. MoreVision trainees were also mentioned.
“The One You Wanted” is the group's first full-length album in five years since ‘The Road Less Traveled,’ released in 2019. It has been eight years since his last R&B album.
The agency said, “It's the most Jay Park-like R&B album,” and added, “It's filled with songs that Jay Park has been working on from 2017 to this year.”
Meanwhile, Jay Park will release “The One You Wanted” on next month's 8th at 6pm.
