Jannabi is ready to kick off a new era with their upcoming album—and they're doing it the Jannabi way.
📝 Reflecting on a Decade of Music
The band will drop their 4th full-length album on April 28. Ahead of the release, they shared a self-interview series and new profile images giving fans a glimpse into the album's direction.
Looking back on their 10-year journey, vocalist Choi Jung-hoon said,
"Heading into the studio every day and stacking up songs like clockwork—that's what kept us going."
Guitarist Kim Do-hyung agreed, calling consistency their biggest strength:
"I found my greatest weapon. The more sincere I became, the longer I could stay in music."
🎧 Letting Go of Pressure, Embracing Simplicity
Unlike past albums, the band took a lighter approach this time.
"Instead of obsessing over one song at a time, we let the music flow naturally," said Choi Jung-hoon.
Kim Do-hyung added,
"We worked with a light heart, and that naturally shaped the sound to reflect who we are right now."
The album moves away from fantasy and focuses on music rooted in real life. It's a message of "music ≠ illusion," filled with songs that mirror the present.
"There's a hint of nostalgia, but the message is all about this very moment," said Choi.
"We're not stuck in the past, present, or future—we just are," Kim explained.
📷 A Visual Shift to Match the Mood
Their new profile photos reflect the album's vibe. Instead of flashy visuals, they went for everyday warmth and simplicity, visually translating the grounded tone of the album.
"We wanted the album to trace the arc of our musical journey—from day one to now—in the most natural way possible," said Choi.
🎶 Marking a New Chapter After 10 Years
This fourth full album marks a new chapter for Jannabi as they move into their second decade in music. It's a collection of songs that reflects not only their love for music but also their deep, honest reflections on it.
Jannabi's 4th full-length album drops on April 28 at 6 PM KST across all major music platforms.
