A hidden card enters the story in the next episodes of the fantasy romance drama
👀 Shim Eun-kyung Joins Way Back Love as a Special Guest
Award-winning actress Shim Eun-kyung is making a surprise appearance in the TVING original series Way Back Love (Korean title: 내가 죽기 일주일 전). On April 8, the production team officially announced her special role in the upcoming episodes.
🎓 Playing a Key Figure in Hee-wan's Past
Shim Eun-kyung will play Young-hyun, the college senior of Hee-wan (portrayed by Kim Min-ha). As the only character who remembers Hee-wan, Young-hyun holds crucial emotional weight in the storyline — possibly changing the game in this fantasy narrative.
"She plays a significant role in Hee-wan's emotional journey," the production team stated. "Her presence on set was reassuring and added great depth to the show."
🌟 From International Star to Streaming Scene-Stealer
With global recognition through films like Miss Granny and Blue Hour, Shim Eun-kyung's surprise cameo brings new energy to the series. "As an internationally acclaimed actress, her scenes will leave a lasting impression," added the producers.
