Minnie, DK, Winter, and more lend their voices to the highly anticipated drama
🌟 K-pop Powerhouses Join the Soundtrack
tvN's new weekend drama Resident Playbook (Korean title: 언젠가는 슬기로울 전공의생활) is bringing together some of the hottest names in K-pop for its official soundtrack. On April 8, the production team revealed an all-idol lineup for the OST, and it's everything fans could hope for.
Confirmed artists include Stray Kids' Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N, IVE's An Yujin, EXO's D.O., aespa's Winter, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Also on board is (G)I-DLE's Minnie, who previously moved fans with Dreamlike from Lovely Runner, and SEVENTEEN's DK, who delivered emotional vocals for Welcome to Samdalri.
📻 Vibes That Match Youthful Energy
Producers explained their decision to feature only idol singers:
"As Resident Playbook is a story about young doctors, we wanted to create an OST lineup that mirrors that youthful, passionate energy. The songs will enhance the viewers' emotional connection with the show."
Adding to the excitement, the OST poster features all the participating artists styled as interns with hospital ID badges. But wait—some of the badges are blurred, hinting that there are still more surprise artists to be revealed!
🏥 A New Chapter in the Hospital Playlist Universe
Resident Playbook is a spinoff of the beloved Hospital Playlist series. Set in the OB-GYN department of Yulje Medical Center's Jongno branch, the story follows a group of first-year residents navigating the ups and downs of hospital life.
Leading the cast is Go Youn-jung as Oh I-young, a first-year OB-GYN resident. She's joined by Shin Si-ah as Pyo Nam-kyung, Kang You-seok as Um Jae-il, Han Ye-ji as Kim Sa-bi, and Jung Joon-won as Koo Do-won.
📺 When & Where to Watch
The drama premieres on April 12 at 9:10 PM KST on tvN. With a nostalgic yet refreshing OST lineup, Resident Playbook is shaping up to be the next binge-worthy favorite for drama and K-pop lovers alike.
