A heartbreaking incident occurred at AXE Ceremonia 2025, one of Latin America's biggest music festivals, held on April 5 (local time) at Parque Bicentenario in Mexico City.
According to an official statement from the Mexico City government, a crane carrying a metal structure collapsed due to strong winds around 5:30 PM. Two individuals tragically lost their lives in the accident.
Local media outlet El Universal reported that both victims were photographers affiliated with music publication Mister Indie. Despite being transported to the hospital immediately, they were pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
โ Day 2 Performances Canceled; Festival Issues Statement
Following the incident, festival organizers announced the cancellation of all Day 2 performances, which were scheduled for April 6. Artists such as Tyler, the Creator, Nathy Peluso, and The Marรญas were set to perform.
The organizers shared a heartfelt message via social media:
"We deeply mourn the loss of two members of the music community. We are in close communication with local authorities and will provide full support to the victims' families."

K-pop sensation TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), who performed as a headliner on Day 1 of the festival, expressed their condolences on April 7 via official social media channels.
The members wrote:
"We send our deepest condolences to everyone affected by the tragic accident at AXE Ceremonia. Our hearts are with the victims, their families, friends, and colleagues."
