On April 3, an SBS official confirmed to Dispatch:

"Yes, Good Partner Season 2 is in production. However, we're still in the early planning stages. Casting decisions are still under discussion."

👩‍⚖️ Season 1 Recap: Divorce Law Meets Drama

The drama, which aired its final episode in September last year, followed the story of a star divorce attorney (played by Jang Nara) and a rookie lawyer (Nam Ji-hyun) working together in a law firm that specializes in family cases.

Jang Nara wowed audiences with her icy transformation, stepping away from her usual warm image to portray the cool and composed Cha Eun-kyung. Nam Ji-hyun played Han Yu-ri, a compassionate newcomer learning the harsh realities of divorce law.

📈 Ratings & Awards Galore

Thanks to its authentic script—written by an actual attorney—the show resonated deeply with viewers.

It started with a solid 7.8% viewership rating (Nielsen Korea) and peaked at a whopping 17.7%, becoming one of SBS's most successful legal dramas in recent years.

At the 2024 SBS Drama Awards, Jang Nara took home the Grand Prize (Daesang), while Nam Ji-hyun won Best Actress in a Miniseries.
