BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Jennie have joined the growing wave of support for wildfire victims in Korea, donating a combined ₩250 million KRW to aid recovery efforts and support firefighters.
💝 Jisoo donates ₩150M, Jennie donates ₩100M
On March 28, Jisoo donated ₩150 million to the Korean Red Cross, while Jennie gave ₩100 million to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association.
Jisoo shared,
"I hope to comfort those who lost their homes, and I want this support to also reach the firefighters who are working with such great responsibility even in this moment."
Jennie added,
"It's a small gesture, but I joined with the hope that it brings some comfort. I truly wish everyone can safely return to normal and enjoy a warm spring."
Their donations will be used for emergency housing, supplies, food aid, and psychological support in heavily affected areas like Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan.
🌱 Consistent acts of kindness
This isn't the first time the two have stepped up for others:
- In March 2024, Jisoo donated all profits from her personal YouTube channel to Save the Children, supporting children's rights globally.
- In January 2025, Jennie donated a portion of her U.S. solo concert profits to help LA wildfire victims and firefighters.
- In May 2024, Jennie also contributed ₩100 million to support the establishment of the Rodem Tree International Alternative School.
BLACKPINK continues to shine — not just on stage, but in the hearts they reach through their generosity.
