The walkie-talkie crackles back to life—tvN's hit drama Signal is making a long-awaited comeback with Season 2.
tvN Confirms Production & Broadcast Timeline
On March 5, tvN announced, "The beloved drama Signal will return as The Second Signal. Production has officially begun, with a target premiere in the first half of next year."
Originally aired in 2016, Signal captivated audiences with its gripping storyline, where the past and present are mysteriously linked through a walkie-talkie to solve cold cases.
Star-Studded Cast & Acclaimed Writer-Director Duo
The original cast is set to return:
- Kim Hye-soo reprises her role as detective Cha Soo-hyun.
- Cho Jin-woong returns as detective Lee Jae-han.
- Lee Je-hoon once again plays profiler Park Hae-young.
Acclaimed screenwriter Kim Eun-hee, known for her masterful storytelling, is back to pen the sequel. Meanwhile, Ahn Tae-jin, the director of The Night Owl, will take the helm.
What to Expect from 'The Second Signal'
The ending of Season 1 hinted at a major twist—Lee Jae-han, who had been missing for 15 years, was seemingly alive. With its signature time-slip investigation narrative, the sequel is expected to deliver even more intense suspense and emotional depth.
