SEVENTEEN Ranks No. 3 on IFPI Global Chart – Highest K-pop Artist

SEVENTEEN has once again proven their immense global popularity, securing the highest ranking among K-pop artists on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) Global Artist Chart 2024.

Top 3 in the World – A Historic Achievement

On February 18 (local time), IFPI released its annual Global Artist Chart, which ranks the most successful artists based on worldwide physical album sales, digital downloads, and audio/video streaming figures.

SEVENTEEN ranked No. 3, standing alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry. The top two spots went to Taylor Swift (No. 1) and Drake (No. 2). SEVENTEEN followed right behind, showcasing strong global support from fans.

This marks SEVENTEEN's fourth consecutive year on the chart:

  • 2021 – No. 9 (first entry)
  • 2022 – No. 6
  • 2023 – No. 2
  • 2024 – No. 3

Dominating the Album Sales & Streaming Charts

SEVENTEEN also made impressive strides on IFPI's album charts:

  • "2024 Global Album Sales Chart"
  • No. 3 – Mini 12th Album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN
  • No. 4 – Best Album 17 IS RIGHT HERE
  • "2024 Global Album Chart"(combined sales & streaming)
  • No. 6 – SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN
  • No. 8 – 17 IS RIGHT HERE

SEVENTEEN was the only K-pop artist to have two albums in the Top 10. Their cumulative album sales surpassed 10 million copies in 2024 alone, reaffirming their commercial dominance.

A Phenomenal World Tour & Upcoming Plans

SEVENTEEN's world tour success also contributed to their outstanding year. From October 12–13, 2023, they launched their tour at Goyang Stadium, South Korea, followed by 30 concerts across 14 cities in North America, Japan, and Asia. The total audience count exceeded 1.03 million fans.

The momentum continues. SEVENTEEN is set to hold their 'SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND' fan meeting on March 20–21 at Incheon Munhak Stadium, followed by concerts in Japan throughout April and May.
