P1Harmony's Keeho has spoken up about his mother's ongoing legal dispute involving financial matters, which has recently resurfaced in the public eye.
FNC Entertainment Clarifies Keeho's Position
On February 17, FNC Entertainment released an official statement regarding Keeho's mother's case, confirming that the issue was legally resolved last year.
"The case involving Keeho's mother was reported to the police in 2023, and after investigation, it was closed with no charges filed," FNC stated.
However, the complainant, A, filed an objection and continued to publicly claim damages, even mentioning Keeho's name in their statements. FNC clarified, "We have confirmed that a reinvestigation has recently begun."
Keeho's Response: "I Will Do My Best as a Son"
According to the agency, Keeho was completely unaware of the situation until recently.
"Keeho has no involvement in this case, and the complainant has already acknowledged the misunderstanding and expressed regret for mentioning his name," FNC stated.
Keeho also personally addressed the issue, saying, "If any wrongdoing is confirmed through legal proceedings, my mother will take full responsibility. However, as a son, I feel deeply sorry for this situation, and I will do my best to help resolve it."
Agency Warns Against Defamation
FNC concluded its statement by urging the public to refrain from spreading false information:
"As the investigation is ongoing, we ask that people refrain from speculation, malicious comments, and unfounded accusations. We sincerely apologize for causing concern."
Background of the Case
Last March, A filed a fraud and illegal financial solicitation complaint against Keeho's mother, alleging a financial loss of approximately 11 billion KRW (~$8.2 million USD) due to a failed business venture involving her and a business partner.
