Chu Young-woo and Cho Yi-hyun are set to headline an upcoming romantic fantasy drama.
Production company Dexter Studio confirmed on the 18th that their subsidiary Dexter Pictures will debut its first drama production, 'The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl', which has been officially slated for a tvN broadcast later this year.
A Modern Take on a Classic Romance
The drama is a youth romance series, based on a popular webtoon of the same name. It tells the heartwarming yet mystical story of a lifelong single shaman who embarks on a mission to save their ill-fated first love from a string of misfortunes.
Rising Stars Come Together
Anticipation is already high due to its star-studded casting. Chu Young-woo, fresh off his leading roles in The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and The Tale of Lady Ok, is set to take on another major role.
Joining him is Cho Yi-hyun, known for her scene-stealing performances. She will transform into a strong-willed high school shaman, bringing her signature girl-crush energy to the role. Their pure and heartfelt romance is expected to be a major highlight of the series.

Dexter Pictures CEO Kim Dong-hyun expressed excitement about the project, stating,
"'The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl' marks our expansion into drama production, following our success in film and visual effects."
He also hinted at future projects across various formats, including films, dramas, and short-form content, aiming for a broad creative spectrum.
