DAY6 on Their Long-Awaited Return to Japan: "We Hope Our Music Becomes a Timeless Moment of Youth"

After seven years, DAY6 finally returned to Japan, bringing with them a performance that felt like a journey through the seasons—from the vibrant energy of spring to the deep emotions of autumn, only to return once again to the warmth of spring. For My Day, it was more than a concert; it was a gift of time shared with the band.

A Nostalgic Reunion with My Day

On February 16, DAY6 took the stage at Makuhari Event Hall in Tokyo as part of their third world tour, 'Forever Young'. Over the course of three hours, the band performed more than 28 songs, celebrating their connection with fans through music.

As each season passed, they brought out songs that defined their journey with My Day.

🎤 Young K performed 'I Like You'

🎤 Sungjin sang 'Somehow'

🎤 Wonpil delivered 'Not One, But Two'

🎤 Dowoon showcased 'Sweet Chaos'

The concert became a two-way performance—while DAY6 played, My Day sang along in perfect Korean. In return, the members, despite their limited proficiency, made every effort to communicate in Japanese, expressing their gratitude directly to the audience.

Spring | The Best Part

The Tokyo weather was as warm as a spring day, mirroring the mood of the concert. Fans arrived at the venue as early as 5 AM to secure concert goods, their hands full of handheld fans featuring the members' faces.

The crowd was diverse, with fans traveling from the U.S., Korea, Hong Kong, and the Middle East to witness DAY6's return to Japan. One local fan shared:
"In Korea, 'Time of Our Life' is a fan-favorite, but I came here looking forward to their 'spicy' setlist."

From the very start, the audience filled the stadium with their voices, eagerly singing along even before the show began. As soon as DAY6 took the stage, the crowd rose to their feet, kicking off the night with 'Best Part'.

🎶 "Jump!" Young K shouted, and the audience responded with thunderous cheers. Confetti exploded into the air like cherry blossoms, creating a breathtaking opening.

Summer | A High-Energy Festival

The intensity escalated as the band transitioned into their more upbeat tracks. Dowoon's dynamic drum fills shifted the tempo, leading into 'Better Better' and 'Healer'. The audience jumped, danced, and sang along, losing themselves in the energy of the moment.

"You guys are incredible! Can we take it up another level? Let's go all out!" – Young K

The concert soon reached its most anticipated section—the high-energy "spicy" lineup, featuring:

🔥 'Somehow'

🔥 'Love Me or Leave Me'

🔥 'Shoot Me'

During 'Shoot Me', the instrumental bridge transformed into an impromptu solo section. Young K lifted his guitar, rallying fans to scream even louder. The band's raw energy electrified the stadium, making for an unforgettable moment.

Autumn | A Stage Just for Us

The night then took a sentimental turn, as DAY6 performed a series of emotionally charged ballads, looking directly into the eyes of their fans.

🎶 'You Were Beautiful'

🎶 'I Loved You'

🎶 'Congratulations'

As they performed 'Monster', the harmonies of Young K, Sungjin, and Wonpil echoed throughout the venue, bringing tears to many fans' eyes. The band handed over the mic, allowing My Day to sing back to them, creating an emotional exchange of gratitude.

Then came an unexpected surprise—as the stage lights dimmed, fans raised a banner that read:
"We've waited for this—DAY6 & My Day, our stage."

The members paused, visibly moved, and took pictures to capture the moment forever.

Returning to Spring | A Promise to Meet Again

As the concert neared its final act, the band revved up the energy for a rock-and-roll grand finale.

🎸 'Help Me Rock & Roll'

🎸 'Dance Dance'

🎸 'Feeling Good'

For the encore, DAY6 performed 'Welcome to the Show', leaving the audience chanting for more long after the song ended.

"My Day and DAY6 are connected through music. So please, promise us—never feel like you're alone." – Young K

Before saying goodbye, Wonpil closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before delivering his final words:
"My Day, I don't just like you. I love you. Thank you, truly."

DAY6 will return to Japan on April 26–27, this time performing at Yokohama Arena, more than doubling their Tokyo venue's capacity. Until then, their music will continue to resonate, creating a moment of youth that never fades.
