Lee Se-young and Na In-woo Reflect on 'Motel California' Finale: "A Journey Full of Unfinished Feelings" 💭

Actors Lee Se-young and Na In-woo have shared their heartfelt thoughts as MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Motel California' comes to a close. The drama's final episode aired on Saturday, wrapping up the emotional journey of first love and self-discovery.

A Heartfelt First-Love Story

Motel California tells the story of Kang-hee, a woman born and raised in a countryside motel, who runs into her first love 12 years after escaping her hometown. Based on the hit novel 'Home, Bitter Home' by writer Sim Yoon-seo, the drama became an instant hit for its powerful acting, emotional depth, and soulful OST featuring artists like Jeok Jae and Jung Seung-hwan.

Fans couldn't get enough of the "Cheon-Ji Couple", as Kang-hee (played by Lee Se-young) and Chun Yeon-soo (played by Na In-woo) portrayed a 23-year-long first love with incredible chemistry that kept viewers glued to their screens.

Lee Se-young: "A Surreal Experience"

Reflecting on her role as Kang-hee, an interior designer with a tough past, Lee Se-young said,
"It still feels surreal that it's over. There were so many emotions I couldn't fully express in just 12 episodes, and they're still with me. I'm deeply grateful to the director, writer, and staff. While it's sad to say goodbye, it also feels like the start of something new. Thank you so much for all the love. I'll be back with something fresh soon!"

Na In-woo: "A Family-Like Set"

Na In-woo, who played Chun Yeon-soo, a sweet and loyal veterinarian, shared his own bittersweet feelings:
"This was the first time I experienced such a family-like atmosphere while filming. It was truly special and meaningful to me. Thanks to everyone who stayed with us until the end. Keep cheering for Kang-hee and Yeon-soo's happiness!"

Thanks to its relatable story, heartfelt moments, and authentic performances, 'Motel California' earned a dedicated fanbase and became one of the most talked-about dramas of the season. With a mix of emotional storytelling and a killer soundtrack, it's no wonder fans dubbed it the ultimate "healing drama."
