Kwon Sang-woo's Comedy 'Hitman 2' Goes Global – International Release Confirmed

The action-comedy film Hitman 2 (directed by Choi Won-seop) is set to deliver laughs to international audiences.

On February 14, distributor Bypoem Studio announced, "Hitman 2 will be released overseas, starting with Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and Japan."

The film already debuted in North America on January 31, playing in select theaters across the United States and Canada. It will hit Australia and New Zealand on February 20, followed by Vietnam on March 14. Japan will see its release in June, with more countries such as Taiwan and Singapore to follow, expanding to a total of 54 countries.

Hitman 2 follows the story of Joon (played by Kwon Sang-woo), a once-successful webtoon artist who becomes a suspect in a terrorist attack after criminals mimic the events from his comics.

The original cast from the first film reunites for another hilarious adventure. Kwon Sang-woo, Jung Joon-ho, Lee Yi-kyung, and Hwang Woo-seul-hye deliver side-splitting performances, making Hitman 2 a must-watch comedy.

The movie has already emerged as a box office hit. According to the Korean Film Council's Integrated Ticketing Network, Hitman 2 surpassed its break-even point of 2.3 million viewers within three weeks of release.
