Actress Son Na-eun is taking legal measures after becoming a victim of phone hacking.
On February 12, Son Na-eun revealed the incident through her Instagram, posting an official statement from YG Entertainment detailing the situation.
According to YG, "The hacker illegally obtained personal data and demanded money in exchange for not disclosing it." Son Na-eun initially complied with the demand to avoid causing harm to her family and close friends.
However, the threats did not stop. "The hacker continued their extortion, demanding more money while also contacting the actress's family members, causing significant emotional distress," YG stated.
The case is currently under formal investigation by the police. YG emphasized, "We will respond strongly with legal action against all forms of privacy invasion and blackmail."
The agency also addressed the media, urging caution: "Since the investigation is ongoing, we sincerely request that speculative and unverified reports be avoided."
