Actors Park Jung-min and BLACKPINK's Jisoo have taken global audiences by storm with their latest project, Newtopia.

The Coupang Play series premiered its first two episodes on February 7 and was simultaneously released in over 240 countries via Amazon Prime.

The unique blend of zombie apocalypse and romantic comedy resonated with viewers worldwide. According to Flix Patrol (as of February 12), Newtopia ranked 5th in Amazon Prime's TV Show category, breaking into the Top 5 in 39 countries.

The series claimed the No. 1 spot in six countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea. In some regions, it held the top position for four consecutive days.

The audience response has been overwhelming. Newtopia received about 100 user reviews on IMDB, with 90 of them awarding it a perfect 10/10 rating.

A Zombie Fantasy Romance
Newtopia is set in a dystopian Seoul overrun by zombies. It tells the story of a soldier fighting his way through a city of the undead to reunite with his girlfriend.

Park Jung-min plays Jaeyoon, a late-enlisting soldier who finds himself in the middle of the zombie outbreak during his military service. Jisoo portrays Youngju, Jaeyoon's girlfriend, who struggles to survive and reunite with him.

Newtopia releases new episodes every Friday at 8 PM (KST) on Coupang Play.
