Rising K-pop boy group TWS is gaining recognition in the UK music scene. They were recently named one of the Essential Emerging Artists for 2025 by British music magazine NME.
On February 12 (local time), NME published its annual NME 100, a list of 100 global emerging artists poised to dominate the music scene in 2025. Among the selected artists, TWS was the only K-pop boy group to make the list.
NME praised TWS for their unique approach: "While most K-pop boy groups opt for bold concepts and intense music, TWS explores youth in a more realistic and relatable way."
Highlighting their charm, the magazine added, "Last year, they captured the hearts of Koreans with their heartfelt, lovable sound. It's only a matter of time before they captivate the world."
TWS debuted in January 2024 with the hit single First Meetings Never Go As Planned, a fresh take on youthful experiences that topped Melon's annual chart and swept rookie awards at various ceremonies.
The group's success has attracted attention from major international outlets. Their songs were named Best K-pop of 2024 by NME, Billboard, and Dazed. Meanwhile, Consequence listed them as 2024's Most Promising New Artist.
Upcoming Fan Meeting
TWS will host their first fan meeting, 42:CLUB, from February 14–16 at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul. All three shows sold out during pre-sales alone.
