Huh Yunjin of LE SSERAFIM will release her new self-composed song "Jellyfish" on January 10 at 6 PM KST through major music platforms. Ahead of the release, Source Music shared a behind-the-scenes video of Yunjin working on the track.
Explaining the meaning behind the title, Yunjin said,
"Living life diligently may seem beautiful to someone else. For me, jellyfish felt that way."
She shared how observing jellyfish brought her comfort.
"I realized that some people can be a source of comfort to others simply by existing."
Yunjin added, "I want to say that, even if we feel breathless, let's keep swimming and appreciate the beauty in others, because we can be someone's comfort too."
"Jellyfish" is an R&B soul track featuring a captivating acoustic guitar sound. The lyrics metaphorically reflect the life of jellyfish swimming through the deep sea, likening their journey to real-life struggles.
For Huh Yunjin, jellyfish represent beings who strive to survive in rough waters. Watching them live resiliently brought her comfort, which she channeled into her music.
Since her debut, Yunjin has consistently released self-composed songs, including "Raise Y_Our Glass", "I ≠ Doll", "Love You Twice", and "Blessing in Disguise".
A Source Music representative stated,
"Huh Yunjin is steadily discovering her unique musical identity as a musician. Her growing artistry shines in this track, 'Jellyfish,' offering listeners insight into her thoughts."
The music video for "Jellyfish" will be released on her official YouTube channel alongside the song at 6 PM KST today.
