"You Quiz" enjoyed a boost from the "Song Hye-kyo effect," breaking its highest-ever target audience ratings record.

tvN's "You Quiz on the Block" (hereafter "You Quiz") aired its New Year's special episode on the 8th, featuring actress Song Hye-kyo and members of the Antarctic King Sejong Station overwintering research team.

Song Hye-kyo's appearance was a major draw. It marked her first talk show appearance in 23 years. As a result, "You Quiz" recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 5.6% (Nielsen Korea), securing the top spot in its time slot.

In particular, the target audience ratings reached an all-time high. The show recorded the highest ratings among the 20-40 age demographic for the entire past year, with ratings of 3.5% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 3.0% nationwide.

A variety of engaging conversations captivated viewers at home. Song Hye-kyo looked back on her 28-year career as a top star since her debut.

She also opened up about her feelings and struggles as an actress, a woman, and a human being. She discussed the pain caused by false rumors and shared her experience of self-reflection after being advised to do so by screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung.

Song Hye-kyo mentioned the Netflix series "The Glory" as a turning point in her acting career. She expressed her deep affection for the project, saying, "I even found myself wanting to go to the next shoot as soon as possible."

Meanwhile, Song Hye-kyo is set to make her big screen comeback with the film "Black Nuns" (directed by Kwon Hyuk-jae), which premieres on the 24th.
