Singer-actor Hwang Min-hyun takes on the role of a book-smart yet natural-born fighter in the upcoming TVING original series Study Group.

On January 7, the production team released stills of Hwang as Yoon Ga-min, capturing his dual persona.

The series follows Yoon Ga-min as he transfers to Yuseong Technical High, a notorious school ruled by fights, not academics. Despite the harsh environment, Ga-min focuses on studying, dressed neatly in his uniform, hinting at his survival story.

However, his hidden side emerges. Behind his quiet demeanor is a gifted fighter. After relentless early-morning training to improve his academic focus, he accidentally unlocks his combat prowess when dragged into school fights.

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Study Group tells the story of a study enthusiast forming a group to pursue academic success and protect it.

The series premieres on TVING on January 23.
