Actress Shin Min-a has made another generous donation, continuing her charitable efforts for the 15th consecutive year.
According to AM Entertainment, Shin Min-a donated a total of 300 million won at the end of last year. The beneficiaries include the Hallym Burn Foundation and Seoul Asan Hospital.
She has been consistently supporting those in need of long-term assistance, particularly burn patients who require multiple surgeries.
Recognizing that one-time help is not enough, Shin Min-a has been providing annual support since 2015. For the past decade, she has donated 100 million won each year through the Hallym Burn Foundation.
The total amount of funds for burn patients has reached 1 billion won, benefiting 201 patients so far. In 2023 alone, she helped 18 children and female patients.
Her philanthropy extends beyond burn patients. Shin Min-a has also donated to causes such as North Korean defector women, heating expenses for elderly people living alone, COVID-19 relief, and natural disaster recovery. Her total cumulative donations exceed 4 billion won.
The prize money from the 14th Beautiful Artist Award, which she received last year, was also donated to help those in need. She contributed the funds to the Theater and Film Department at Dongguk University, her alma mater.
Meanwhile, Shin Min-a appeared in tvN's 'Not a Loser' last year and is currently considering an offer to star in the upcoming drama 'The Remarried Empress.'
