Rookie girl group SAYMYNAME has been named a "2025 Rookie" by GRAMMY.com.
On January 4 (local time), GRAMMY.com, the official music media outlet of the U.S. Recording Academy, released a list of "K-POP Rookie Artists to Watch in 2025." Among the names was SAYMYNAME, garnering significant attention.
SAYMYNAME is a rookie girl group produced by singer and actor Kim Jaejoong. The group made their debut in October last year with their album SAY MY NAME, showcasing solid skills from the start.
GRAMMY.com praised the group, stating, "SAYMYNAME is a group created by veteran K-pop artist Kim Jaejoong. They possess a unique energy, and their performances offer pure joy."
The outlet also highlighted the debut track WaveWay, noting its message of freedom. GRAMMY.com pointed to the lyrics, "Yesterday's worries are nothing, nothing. Dive into thrilling excitement day and night," emphasizing the song's uplifting theme.
In addition to SAYMYNAME, GRAMMY.com spotlighted several other rising K-pop groups, including QWER, Artemis, NexG, Lissène, MIYAO, IZNA, and the soon-to-debut KickFlip.
The outlet further predicted, "In 2025, K-pop will continue to thrive with new rookie groups from major agencies and the results of new survival programs."
