BLACKPINK's Jennie has conveyed her condolences to the victims of the Jeju Air tragedy.
On December 31, Jennie's agency, OA Entertainment, posted a photo of a chrysanthemum flower on its official social media account, stating, "We deeply mourn the victims of the airplane tragedy. May the deceased rest in peace."
The tragedy occurred on December 29 when a Jeju Air flight attempted to land at Muan Airport but crashed. Of the 181 passengers and crew on board, 179 lost their lives.
The South Korean government has declared a national mourning period until January 4, 2025. The entertainment industry has joined in mourning, canceling events such as award shows and performances while postponing album releases as a mark of respect.
Meanwhile, Jennie is set to release her solo album early next year and will perform at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.
