Netflix's Squid Game 2 has ranked No. 1 in viewing hours across 93 countries worldwide for four consecutive days.
According to data released today (December 31) by FlixPatrol, a global streaming viewership analytics platform, Squid Game 2 secured the top spot in Netflix's TV Shows category as of yesterday. The series has maintained its No. 1 position since its debut.
On December 27, the series ranked No. 1 in 92 countries, excluding New Zealand. By the following day, it had expanded its dominance to all 93 countries, including New Zealand.
Netflix updates its official viewing time rankings every Wednesday.
Squid Game 2 is written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, who helmed the first season. The new season stars returning cast members Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun, along with a stellar lineup including Wi Ha-jun, Gong Yoo, Park Sung-hoon, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Yang Dong-geun, and Kim Si-eun.
The first season of Squid Game holds Netflix's record for the most-watched series, with 2.25 billion hours viewed within 91 days of its release.
