Actress Park Gyu-young Joins Squid Game Season 2 as New Character
Park Gyu-young will appear in Netflix's original series Squid Game Season 2, playing the role of No-eul, a new character not featured in the first season.
No-eul is a former soldier and North Korean defector with a single goal: to reunite with her young daughter left behind in the North by earning money.
A recently released still image shows Park with tied-back hair and simple attire, her desolate gaze drawing attention.
Park Gyu-young has previously gained global recognition through Netflix hits like Sweet Home Seasons 1 and 2, and Celebrity.
In Sweet Home, she played Yoon Ji-soo, wielding a baseball bat against monsters and showcasing her selflessness. In Celebrity, she portrayed Seo Ah-ri, a regular office worker turned top influencer, displaying strong inner resolve.
Her agency stated, "Park Gyu-young is widely regarded as a 'Netflix mainstay.' Please look forward to her performance in the newly joined Squid Game Season 2."
Squid Game Season 2 premieres on December 26.
