The pictorial featuring Lee Se-young and Na In-woo from Motel California has been released.
Motel California, set to premiere on January 10 at 9:50 PM on MBC, tells the story of a woman returning to her hometown after 12 years and reuniting with her first love.
When asked about her initial impression of her character Ji Kang-hee, Lee Se-young shared, "Most dramas revolve around a protagonist living an ordinary life who grows through unexpected events. However, Ji Kang-hee faces challenges even before forming her identity, such as being biracial and growing up in a motel. I was curious to see how she would overcome these struggles," expressing her fascination and affection for the character.
Na In-woo described Cheon Yeon-soo, a character who has loved Ji Kang-hee for a long time, as "a harmless and pure-hearted character." He added, "I don't think the idea of loving just one person for a lifetime is entirely fantastical. It's undoubtedly challenging, but it's something people can achieve. I tried to realistically portray the delicate emotions of someone who has waited for so long. I imagined what kind of person he would have grown into after enduring such a lengthy wait." His thoughtful insights highlighted his dedication to the role.
When asked about their perspectives on being actors, Lee Se-young remarked, "Living life as an actor is a blessing. I love my colleagues and the environment where we work together. It's incredibly rewarding to see someone who was once a junior staff member rise to the highest ranks or make their debut as a director." Her response reflected her reputation as a "trustworthy actress."
Na In-woo, on the other hand, described his innate nature, saying, "I've never given up on anything. Letting go isn't something I'm good at. While some might view this as stubbornness, I think perseverance is an important trait in today's world. I try to embrace it positively." His response hints at his determination and potential for future success.
