YG Entertainment's rookie girl group BABYMONSTER is set to make their first year-end stage appearance at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon on December 25 at Incheon's Inspire Arena. They will perform a special band version of DRIP, one of the double title tracks from their debut album.
As their first and only domestic year-end stage since debuting, the performance has garnered significant attention. BABYMONSTER has already captured global music fans' hearts with their impressive live performances during promotions for their first full album, DRIP, and appearances at music shows, fan meetings, and festivals.
The group is expected to deliver a powerful and reimagined performance of DRIP. YG Entertainment shared, "To thank fans for supporting us in our debut year, we've prepared a special stage with amplified energy and performance to heat up the year-end celebration."
Adding to the excitement, BABYMONSTER will share the stage with their seniors, 2NE1, who recently confirmed their Gayo Daejeon appearance, marking their return after a decade. Fans are eager to see the interaction between the two YG girl groups, who previously showcased their chemistry at 2NE1's 15th-anniversary concert in Seoul.
In addition to their year-end performance, BABYMONSTER will release the music video for their follow-up track Love In My Heart on December 16. They are also slated to appear on Japan's Music Station on December 27 and TBS's CDTV Live! Live! on December 28, continuing their global reach.
BABYMONSTER's momentum will carry into the new year as they kick off their debut world tour on January 25-26 at Seoul's KSPO DOME, making a historic mark as a rookie group performing at the venue. The tour will expand to key cities in the U.S., including New Jersey and Los Angeles, and Japan, visiting Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka, further solidifying their global presence.
