"Handsome Guys" PD Ryu Ho-jin Announces BTS Jin as First Guest
On November 28, an online press conference was held for tvN's new variety show "Handsome Guys." The event featured PDs Ryu Ho-jin and Yoon In-ho, as well as cast members Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, Shin Seung-ho, MMA fighter Kim Dong-hyun, and fencing athlete Oh Sang-wook.
"Handsome Guys" is a Sunday variety show where the cast explores Korea's unique culture, nature, landmarks, and fascinating personalities.
During the event, PD Ryu Ho-jin explained why BTS's Jin was chosen as the first guest. He stated, "Since the show is about showcasing Korea's culture, I wanted a guest who could openly discuss it. I knew he was busy, but when I reached out, I found out Jin is very interested in Korean culture." He added with a laugh, "Jin got swept up in the chaos during filming and went straight home afterward."
PD Yoon In-ho added, "Jin said, 'This is so unique, I've never done anything like this before.' Lee Yi-kyung, who is close to Jin, reassured him, saying, 'It's always like this, don't worry.'"
Lee Yi-kyung chimed in, "My small wish is for Jin to continue joining us. I know he's incredibly busy, but I can still have my hopes, right? I've been keeping in touch with him to make it happen. Jin even joked, 'This darn Handsome Guys!'"
"Handsome Guys" will premiere on December 1 at 7:40 PM.
