IVE's Jang Wonyoung once again proved why she's called the "Lucky Vicky" with her optimistic mindset.
On November 27, a video titled "My dream... is to get along with Cha Eunsu" was uploaded to the YouTube channel "Face Genius Cha Eunsu." The episode featured Choi Yena as a guest.
While Choi Yena and Cha Eunsu were enjoying a meal at a barbecue restaurant, Jang Wonyoung unexpectedly called, sparking an amusing phone conversation.
When Cha Eunsu was handed the phone, he greeted Jang Wonyoung, saying, "Hello, senior." Jang Wonyoung replied playfully, "Hello, senior Myungsoo, right?" to which Cha Eunsu corrected her, "No, it's Cha Eunsu." Jang Wonyoung teased back, "Who is Cha Eunsu? Looks like you need to work harder!"
Cha Eunsu then explained, "I'm the idol Cha Eunsu, under Park Myungsoo's management. I'm actually a fan of yours, Wonyoung." In response, Jang Wonyoung cheerfully said, "Really? That's so sweet of you." Cha Eunsu joked, "But after appearing in Yena's music video, I started liking her more. I'm sorry!"
Jang Wonyoung responded graciously, "That's okay. Liking someone is a good thing. There are plenty of people who like me, so no worries. It's your choice, Cha Eunsu."
Cha Eunsu marveled, "You really are a 'Lucky Vicky,'" adding jokingly, "Are you saying you don't need someone like me?" Jang Wonyoung replied with a laugh, "I'd be happy if you liked me, too."
When Cha Eunsu declared, "Wonyoung, I was just kidding—I love you," Jang Wonyoung replied, "I love you all, everyone!" Cha Eunsu laughed, "No, I mean, do you love me?" Jang Wonyoung quipped, "I love everyone here, including the writers and Yena unnie," leaving everyone in awe of her charm.
Jang Wonyoung has gained fame this year for coining the phrase "Wonyoung-style thinking," solidifying her image as an icon of positivity. One famous anecdote includes her trip to Spain, where she couldn't buy bread and interpreted it as an opportunity to get "a chance at freshly baked bread." This mindset led to the creation of the nickname "Lucky Vicky" (a blend of "Lucky" and "Vicky"), further cementing her reputation as a positive role model.
