"I'm here to stop the game."
Netflix unveiled an additional main poster for the new series Squid Game Season 2 on the 27th, featuring Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae) and other key characters.
The poster signals the start of the deadly game. At the forefront, Gi-hun wears a determined expression, running in the opposite direction in a carousel-like game arena.
The innocence of childhood games has been twisted into a deadly competition. Fallen participants lie in pools of blood, with gruesome details heightening curiosity about their stories.
New cast members also make an appearance. Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Lee Jin-wook, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-shim, and Cho Yu-ri join the game, fighting desperately to survive.
The main trailer has also been released. It begins with Jun-ho (played by Wi Ha-jun) discovering a game invitation. More characters who have been invited to the game are introduced.
Gi-hun makes an unexpected proposal to the Front Man, saying, "Let me play the game again," hinting at a dramatic turn of events.
The variety of participants stirs curiosity. As the prize money grows in real-time, they gaze at it with desperation, some urging to play just one more round.
The trailer hints at fierce competition. Gi-hun declares, "I'm here to stop the game," to which the Front Man replies, "As long as the world doesn't change, it won't end."
As the game progresses, the participants' fortunes swing dramatically. A chilling line, "Welcome back to the game, No. 456," raises anticipation for the series' climax.
Squid Game Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on the 26th of next month.
