Stray Kids have secured nominations for the second year in a row at the Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).
According to the BBMAs, Stray Kids are finalists in three categories: Top Duo/Group, Top K-Pop Album, and Top Global K-Pop Artist.
In the Top K-Pop Album category, their mini-albums 樂-STAR (Rockstar) and ATE were nominated. Stray Kids are the only K-pop artists this year to have two albums included as finalists in the category.
In the Top Duo/Group category, Stray Kids stand alongside global acts such as blink-182, Coldplay, Fuerza Regida, and Linkin Park.
Last year, Stray Kids were nominated for Top K-Pop Album and Top Global K-Pop Artist at the BBMAs. This year, they added the Top Duo/Group category, further solidifying their global influence for a second consecutive year.
At the 2023 BBMAs, Stray Kids won the Top K-Pop Album award for ★★★★★ (5-STAR), becoming the first fourth-generation boy group to achieve this feat and the second boy group in history to win in this category.
Stray Kids have also shown dominance on the Billboard 200 chart, where they achieved five consecutive No. 1 albums: ODDINARY (2022), MAXIDENT (2022), ★★★★★ (5-STAR) (2023), 樂-STAR (Rockstar) (2023), and ATE (2024).
On the Hot 100 chart, they made a groundbreaking entry as the first fourth-generation boy group with the track 樂 (Rock) in 2023. They followed this with Lose My Breath (featuring Charlie Puth) and Chik Chik Boom (2024), marking three total entries.
Stray Kids continue to build their accolades, having won titles at the 2024 People's Choice Awards in February and the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards in April.
Additionally, Stray Kids' track Slash, featured on the Deadpool & Wolverine movie soundtrack album, earned a nomination in the Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media category at the 67th Grammy Awards.
Stray Kids are set to release their SKZHOP HIPTAPE 合 (HOP) and its title track, Walkin On Water, on December 13 at 2 PM KST (midnight EST).
