"South Korea. Our New Best Friends. Hold On. Oasis Is Coming" - Oasis Returns for Fall 2025 Concert
Legendary Britpop band Oasis is set to return to South Korea after 16 years. The concert will take place on October 21, 2025, at 8 p.m. in Goyang Stadium.
On November 22, Oasis announced their upcoming performance on their official X account, saying, "South Korea. Our new best friends. Hold on. Oasis is coming."
Formed in 1991, Oasis has captivated audiences with their dynamic rock rhythms and melodic pop sensibilities. Their timeless hits, including Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger, and Live Forever, have transcended generations, contributing to over 90 million albums sold worldwide.
However, the Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, have faced long-standing conflicts, leading to the band's hiatus in 2009. Both pursued separate musical paths, forming their own bands.
After 15 years, the Gallaghers announced their reunion in August 2024, revealing a world tour under the banner Oasis Live '25. "The great wait is over," they proclaimed, sparking excitement among fans.
News of Oasis's return electrified global music lovers, with their debut album and hits climbing back into the UK charts' Top 10. The initial tour stops in the UK and Ireland saw over 10 million ticket requests from 158 countries. Subsequent shows in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil have all sold out.
Oasis has expressed a strong connection to South Korea. Their first visit in 2006 left a lasting impression on the band, with Noel Gallagher frequently mentioning Korean fans in interviews. In 2009, they performed twice in Korea, including a rare live rendition of Live Forever during their tour.
Noel Gallagher has also returned to Korea multiple times with his band, High Flying Birds. Each performance has drawn larger crowds, with recent concerts attracting over 70% of audiences in their teens and twenties.
Tickets for Oasis's upcoming concert will be available via Interpark. Fan club pre-sales begin on November 28 at 12 p.m., with general sales opening on November 29 at 12 p.m.
