ENHYPEN has shared a Q&A to commemorate their comeback.

On November 11, Belift Lab released a special Q&A for ENHYPEN's repackaged second full-length album, "Romance: Untold - Daydream."

The album explores the theme of “daydream” and tells the story of realizing greater love in the absence of “you.” This concept of paradoxical emotional change is symbolized as a daytime dream.

The album includes new songs "No Doubt" and "Daydream," along with 10 tracks from their second full-length album.

The title track, "No Doubt," is set to showcase ENHYPEN’s unique, restrained charisma. Meanwhile, "Daydream" is an urban hip-hop track featuring ENHYPEN's distinct whisper rap.

Upon the release, Heeseung commented, "We’ve added songs that explore even deeper emotions than before. I hope you look forward to it." Jake added, "We’ve given each track a refined, unique touch in our own ENHYPEN style."

This release is described in one word as "flavorful." Heeseung teased, “The music, videos, and performances are rich with fun, offering something captivating for ENGENEs.”

The group paid special attention to their vocals and performance. Sunoo shared, “We put a lot of thought into how we would sing to bring out the nuances in the lyrics, from whispering to adding roughness in our voices.”

The dance moves in "No Doubt" are also a key highlight. Sunghoon explained, “The choreography where we put our hands in our back pockets stands out, and we hope fans enjoy following along.”

Jay shared his initial impression of "Daydream," saying, “I was sure it would bring fresh excitement.” He also noted that "Daydream" introduces ENHYPEN to a genre they haven’t explored before.

Finally, ENHYPEN shared a message for their fans, stating, “This album is one you can look forward to. We aim to be artists who make ENGENEs proud and grateful for their support.”

Q. How do you feel about releasing this repackaged album?

Heeseung: We've been on a continuous journey this year, and I’m thrilled to meet ENGENE (our fanbase) again. We’re sharing songs with even deeper emotions than our last release, so please look forward to it.

Jake: We worked hard to present unique songs and stages. We’ve refined each track in a stylish way that’s distinctly ENHYPEN.

Sunghoon: I always look forward to our comeback activities. I’m excited to showcase various performances through this album and even into the year-end stages.

Q. Describe this album in one word.

Heeseung: Flavorful. The album has a strong essence that adds to its appeal. I think ENGENEs will find plenty to enjoy in the music, videos, and performances.

Jay: Challenging. We explored new genres, atmospheres, and concepts that differ from what we’ve shown so far.

Sunoo: Ultimate trump card. We’ve poured everything into this album, especially with year-end celebrations approaching.

Q. What did you focus on during preparation?

Jungwon: I wanted people to say, “Wow, they perform so well!” I put extra effort into preparing for our performances and showing off ENHYPEN’s charm.

Sunoo: I really thought about how to sing each line to bring out the lyrics’ nuances. I worked on vocal textures to make the delivery more dynamic and engaging.

Ni-ki: Since this album connects to "Romance: Untold," it was important to convey the storyline through emotion. I focused on that, hoping listeners would feel the emotion when they hear our songs.

Q. What’s the appeal of the title track "No Doubt"?

Jungwon: The moment I heard it, I knew it was a great track. The song blends retro vibes with a chic, clean mood, allowing for an easy listening experience that also shows our more mature side.

Sunghoon: A standout move is when we dance with our hands in our back pockets. It’s tricky to do in sync, but I hope fans enjoy it and try it out themselves.

Ni-ki: The straightforward lyrics stand out. In particular, the line “You’re my answer” resonates because ENGENEs are the answer to everything for us.

Q. What was your first impression of "Daydream"?

Jay: "Daydream" instantly gave me a feeling of fresh excitement. It’s a genre we haven’t explored before, so I’m curious about how fans will respond.

Sunghoon: I felt it would be a new challenge. Mastering the hip-hop rhythm was tough, but I practiced to make sure we captured the song’s vibe.

Ni-ki: There were many great tracks to choose from, and "Daydream" felt especially fresh because of its unique genre. Although the whisper rap was challenging, I was eager to take it on.

Q. What is ENHYPEN’s undeniable strength?

Jungwon: For me, it’s our connection with fans. Engaging with ENGENEs is our foundation, and I always strive to express my feelings to them.

Jay: I’d say our passion. Every member puts their all into everything, without cutting corners.

Jake: Our year-end performances are a definite strength. We prepare extra hard for these shows and are determined to make them memorable for ENGENEs.

Q. Looking back on 2024, how would you describe the year?

Heeseung: ENHYPEN’s growth also brought a lot of personal change for me. I feel that we’re getting closer to our dreams, overcoming limits we once had.

Jake: We achieved a lot of what we set out to do, like meeting more ENGENEs. Our world tour gave us the chance to share our music on a broader stage, and we want to end the year strong.

Sunoo: It’s been a meaningful year with many accomplishments as ENHYPEN. I want to finish 2024 with our "Romance: Untold - Daydream" promotions on a high note.

Q. Any message for fans eagerly awaiting your comeback?

Jungwon: During preparations, I felt encouraged each time I thought of ENGENEs. I’m so grateful for the love you’ve shown, and I hope you’ll join us for this comeback and our year-end performances.

Heeseung: Both "No Doubt" and "Daydream" have a charm that will make you want to keep listening. We have a lot planned through the end of the year, so stay with us!
