LE SSERAFIM took the stage solo at Europe’s largest music awards ceremony.
LE SSERAFIM attended the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) held on November 10 (local time) in Manchester, UK, performing as one of the official acts at the main event.
They were the only K-pop artists invited to the ceremony. The BBC commented, “LE SSERAFIM, who achieved remarkable success in the US, will perform for the first time in the UK, presenting a refined and sophisticated stage.”
Host Rita Ora also praised LE SSERAFIM’s performance rehearsal in an interview, saying, “Every artist on stage is fantastic, but LE SSERAFIM’s rehearsal was truly impressive.”
LE SSERAFIM delivered on the high expectations. They started with the track “Chasing Lightning” from their fourth mini-album, incorporating voguing dance moves alongside a mega-crew of 30 local dancers.
Their title track, “Crazy,” followed, showcasing polished choreography, a confident attitude, and captivating 360-degree choreography that captivated the audience, who sang along in Korean.
LE SSERAFIM was nominated for three awards—‘Best Push,’ ‘Best New,’ and ‘Best K-Pop.’ They were awarded the ‘Best Push’ trophy, beating out competitors such as Chapel Rhone, Teddy Swims, and RAYE.
The group shared their gratitude: “Performing in the UK for the first time was already amazing, and winning an award was beyond our imagination. We want to dedicate this honor to all our fans who have supported our journey.”
