Seventeen is set to light up Los Angeles with their special “Seventeen the City” project in celebration of their concert in LA.
On the 5th, Pledis Entertainment announced the launch of "Seventeen the City Los Angeles," a themed event series that will paint iconic locations and spots around LA with Seventeen's touch. LA marks the final destination of Seventeen's U.S. tour, which began on the 22nd of last month, and fans will be able to enjoy both the concert and the diverse events planned from November 7-11.
This event, organized with the support of local government and businesses, includes a lighting show at a landmark, fan events, a pop-up store, and food and beverage collaborations, offering fans a variety of experiences.
The main attraction is a lighting show at Santa Monica Pier's iconic 25-meter Ferris wheel, the "Pacific Wheel," which will light up in Seventeen’s logo on the evening before the concert, November 8. Fans visiting this spot can capture photos alongside the giant Ferris wheel and a large “Bongbongi” plush, inspired by Seventeen’s official light stick mascot.
The LA City Council is also joining in by presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to Seventeen, honoring the group’s contributions to the arts, culture, and community. Joshua, who hails from LA, will attend the ceremony at City Hall on the morning of the 8th, where he will express his gratitude and share his thoughts on performing and hosting this project in his hometown.
Fans can participate in a celebration party on the 7th at Club Academy LA, one of the city’s top nightlife spots. Special Seventeen-themed cocktails will be offered, and the group’s hits will play during peak hours to set the atmosphere.
A pop-up store featuring exclusive merchandise will also open at Designer Art Gallery in downtown LA. Fans can find 11 limited-edition items, including varsity jackets, T-shirts, and hoodies, all bearing the “Seventeen the City” logo.
Eight famous F&B brands in LA's Koreatown will offer Seventeen-themed dining experiences. Among them is “Beverly Soon Tofu,” a popular spot, and four other Korean restaurants will serve special Seventeen-themed dishes.
A representative from Pledis Entertainment shared, “With Seventeen’s strong global influence and the interest fans have shown in ‘The City,’ various local organizations and brands in LA have eagerly joined this initiative. Starting in Japan in 2022, the Seventeen the City project has now expanded to the U.S., and we hope to continue offering unique artist IP experiences in new regions through this series.”
Seventeen will conclude their U.S. tour with performances on November 9-10 in LA, followed by a dome tour in four Japanese cities. Starting in January, they will continue their Asia tour in Bulacan, Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangkok.
