The group BABYMONSTER shared their thoughts on making a comeback with a song composed by singer G-Dragon.
On the morning of the 1st, BABYMONSTER held a press conference for their first full-length album, DRIP, at the new YG Entertainment building in Huiujeong-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
On that day, Laura expressed her surprise about G-Dragon's participation in composing the title track DRIP "When we first heard the news, naturally, we were all incredibly surprised. We kept asking, 'Is it real?' And when we found out it was true, I thought we really had to work hard and do our best to repay him and show him our appreciation."
Asa added, "When I listened to GD's demo, I tried really hard to follow his style and swag," and explained the recording process by saying, "All seven of us worked really hard and paid close attention to every detail."
When asked if they received any advice from G-Dragon, Laura responded, "Rather than advice, the demo itself explained everything about the song. So, we learned as much as we could, and the rappers worked hard to bring out that 'hip' vibe."
BABYMONSTER's first full album, DRIP, embodies their charm, packed to the brim and overflowing. The album includes a total of nine tracks, including the double title tracks CLICK CLACK and DRIP.
CLICK CLACK is a minimal and savage-sounding track, with lyrics and flow that convey confidence and ease. All members took on the challenge of rapping in this track. DRIP is an EDM-based hip-hop dance song with a dynamic beat and varied bass sounds, confidently expressing BABYMONSTER's attitude and stylishness.
