A JTBC representative announced on the 1st, "It is true that world-renowned chef Edward Lee will appear on 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,' and the episode is set to air in December."
Edward Lee, who won 'Iron Chef America' in 2010 and has served at White House state banquets, is known for his delicate and exceptional culinary skills. Recently, he gained even more popularity in Korea after finishing as runner-up on Netflix’s 'The Chef Showdown: Culinary Class Warfare,' showcasing his dedication and passion for cooking.
The JTBC representative added, "Edward Lee currently operates a restaurant in the United States. He will visit Korea specifically to participate in 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,'” and expressed anticipation for his guest appearance.
'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' sparked a cooking show trend when it first aired in 2014, with famous chefs preparing dishes using only ingredients from celebrity guests' refrigerators within a 15-minute time limit. The show wrapped up in 2019 after five successful years and is now returning with original production team members, including PD Lee Chang-woo and writer Kang Yoon-jung.
PD Lee stated, “While retaining the originality of 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,' we have explored new ways by updating the guest lineup and format,” hinting at exciting culinary battles and humor that viewers remember and love. “We hope for continued interest in this new chapter of 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,’” he added.
Meanwhile, 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' will begin filming in November, with the first episode scheduled to air in December.
