Kim Yun-seok and Lee Seung-gi Showcase Father-Son Chemistry
On the 31st, Lotte Entertainment released press stills for the upcoming film About Family (directed by Yang Woo-seok), featuring Kim Yun-seok, Lee Seung-gi, Kim Sung-ryung, and Kang Han-na.
The film teases a unique acting ensemble, centering around Ham Moo-ok (played by Kim Yun-seok), the owner of the famous restaurant Pyeongmanok, his son-turned-monk Ham Moon-seok (played by Lee Seung-gi), and Pyeongmanok's Madame Bang (played by Kim Sung-ryung).
Also featured are Moon-seok's best friend Han Ga-yeon (Kang Han-na), fellow monk In-haeng (Park Soo-young), and siblings Min-guk and Min-seon (Kim Si-woo and Yoon Chae-na), promising comedic performances.
About Family is a heartwarming family comedy-drama. It follows the unexpected arrival of grandchildren to Moo-ok, whose family line seemed to end when his son became a monk.
The film marks director Yang Woo-seok's return to the screen, known for his acclaimed works such as The Attorney and the Steel Rain series. Yang also wrote the screenplay for this project.
Kim Yun-seok takes on a new role, suddenly becoming a grandfather, while Lee Seung-gi underwent a drastic transformation, shaving his head for his role as a monk.
About Family is set to premiere on December 11.
