BLACKPINK's Rosé Becomes First Korean Female Solo Artist to Top Spotify U.S. Chart

BLACKPINK's Rosé is making waves globally with her duet track 'APT.' (ROSÉ & Bruno Mars), which was released on October 18. The song has quickly taken the music industry by storm.

'APT.' serves as a pre-release single ahead of Rosé's official comeback on December 6, and it will also be included in her first full-length album, 'rosie.'

Upon release, 'APT.' achieved a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) by topping the real-time, daily, and 'TOP 100' charts on major Korean streaming platforms, including Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Vibe. The song also reached No. 1 on Spotify's global and U.S. charts and topped iTunes charts in 40 regions, solidifying its worldwide success.

Notably, Rosé became the first Korean female solo artist to claim the top spot on Spotify's U.S. chart, setting a new career milestone with this release.

The 'APT.' music video, featuring playful visuals with both Rosé and Bruno Mars, has also garnered significant attention. It ranked No. 1 on YouTube's Trending Music and Video charts in both Korea and the U.S. The video achieved 82 million views within just four days, rapidly approaching the 100-million-view milestone.

Rosé shared the inspiration behind the song, explaining, "The song 'APT.' is inspired by a popular Korean game called the 'Apartment Game,' which I love. It's simple, fun, and perfect for lifting the mood. One night, while working in the studio, I introduced the game to the team, and we had so much fun that it inspired the song's creation. Bruno Mars later joined the project, completing the track."

The forthcoming album 'rosie,' which includes 'APT.' as a pre-release track, will feature 12 songs in total. Rosé actively participated in writing and composing all the tracks, promising to share her personal stories in a candid and intimate way.

As the main vocalist of BLACKPINK, Rosé has set numerous records. Her 2021 solo debut with the single 'R' and its title track 'On The Ground' debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Global 200 chart and earned the highest ranking by a K-pop female solo artist on the Billboard HOT 100 chart.

In June, Rosé signed a management deal with The Black Label, led by producer Teddy, and entered into a label agreement with Atlantic Records, paving the way for her global activities.

Rosé continues to shine across music, beauty, and fashion, drawing global attention with every step of her career. Fans around the world eagerly anticipate her next moves.
