The LG Twins continue their tradition of featuring lifelong fans, known as "Elrini" (LG child fans), as ceremonial first pitchers. On October 18, LG announced that EXO's Xiumin will take the mound to throw the first pitch at Game 4 of the 2024 KBO League playoffs against the Samsung Lions, held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium.

Xiumin, a well-known fan of the LG Twins since his childhood, previously threw the first pitch during home games in 2015 and 2017.

Expressing his excitement through the LG team, Xiumin shared, "This will be my third time throwing the first pitch for the LG Twins. It's a great honor for me as an 'Elrini' to do this at such an important game. I hope my pitch can contribute, even just a little, to LG's victory, and I'll cheer with all my heart."

Just the day before, on October 17, the LG Twins invited another "Elrini," Olympic judo silver medalist Kim Min-jong, to throw the ceremonial pitch at Game 3 of the playoffs against Samsung. Kim, who won silver in the men's heavyweight division at the 2024 Paris Olympics, reflected on his childhood: "I became an 'Elrini' when I first came to an LG game with my uncle during elementary school."

The LG Twins secured a 1-0 victory in that game, earning their first win of the series after two consecutive losses.
