SEVENTEEN Becomes Double Million Sellers on Comeback Day
SEVENTEEN achieved double million-seller status on the day of their comeback. On October 14, SEVENTEEN released their 12th mini album, SPILL THE FEELS. According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 2,494,180 copies on its first day.
SEVENTEEN is the only K-pop artist this year to surpass 2 million sales on the day of release. This marks their second consecutive double million-seller following their previous album.
Their global popularity is also evident. SPILL THE FEELS topped the iTunes Top Album chart in 18 countries/regions, including Macau, India, the Philippines, and Singapore.
On the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, the album ranked second, just behind the British band Coldplay's Moon Music.
The title track, LOVE, MONEY, FAME, is also doing well, reaching the top spot on the real-time chart of Bugs and securing a top position on Melon's Top 100 chart.
The new album conveys a message of "trusting others, sharing emotions, and resolving concerns together." It aims to comfort and encourage those who have felt depressed from not being able to express their inner feelings.
LOVE, MONEY, FAME is an R&B hip-hop track, characterized by a groovy melody that is highly addictive. The song reflects SEVENTEEN's heartfelt message to their fans, Carats.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is set to appear on Mnet's M Countdown on October 17.
