Actor Park Seo-jun Reveals an Unexpected Connection with Kim Soo-hyun

On the 13th, a video titled "Park Seo-jun... It's Stimulating?" was uploaded to the YouTube channel fairyjaehyung.

On that day, when Jeong Jae-hyung asked Park Seo-jun, "Why did you go to the military so early?" Park confessed, "I had nothing—no connections. If we compare it to the term 'Culinary Class Wars', I was a 'black spoon' (someone from a disadvantaged background)."

Jeong Jae-hyung sympathized, saying, "It must have been daunting to have no one while pursuing acting." Park Seo-jun replied, "It was really overwhelming. It felt like I had to tackle everything head-on with no support. I thought, 'Let's just get the military service done first,' so I enlisted before even looking for an agency."

Park Seo-jun recalled, "After I was discharged, I entered an agency through a friend's friend. At the time, my friend was close to Kim Soo-hyun, so he asked if he could introduce me to his company. Kim Soo-hyun gladly connected me, and as soon as I went to the agency, they started talking about signing a contract."

He continued, "The CEO confidently handed me the contract and said, 'This is a standard contract. If you're unsure, you can consult a lawyer.' I told him I'd look into it and get back to him. Back then, it was my first time visiting a company like that, so I didn't know anything. Just looking at the contract, starting from all the legal terms, it felt overwhelming. And it was a really big company too."

Park Seo-jun, who joined KeyEast thanks to his connection with Kim Soo-hyun, shared, "Once I joined, I realized there weren't many opportunities for rookies. At that time, the three major broadcasters were everything. There simply weren't many productions. There were also very few audition opportunities, and even when there were, hundreds or thousands of people would show up."

Listening to this, Jeong Jae-hyung remarked, "I guess that's why actors may not have many friends," to which Park Seo-jun responded, "I don't have friends my age. It's hard for male actors to meet because we're usually busy starring in different projects. In contrast, I run into female actors more often. Actors usually only become close when they work on a project together. And when you meet outside of work, it's hard to form deep relationships because those are often more like social connections."

Jeong Jae-hyung then teased, "So, did you have more opportunities to become friends with female actors?" Park Seo-jun replied, "Well, naturally, yes." Jeong Jae-hyung joked, "I was trying to be a bit too sharp with my question," bringing laughter to the conversation.
