Chef Kwon Seong-joon, the final winner of Netflix's popular show “Culinary Class Wars,” has warned against black market ticketing.
Chef Kwon Seong-joon posted a post on his Instagram story on the 10th, saying, “If you are caught, the app itself will be permanently blacked out and the reservation deposit will not be refunded.” “Also, we will secondarily check if you are who you say you are and enter the restaurant,” he wrote.
He continued, “If you report a reservation ticket transaction, we will take immediate action,” and wrote, “A reservation ticket dream to the person who caught the reservation ticket transaction.”
On the same day, Catchable, a restaurant reservation and review application (app), opened reservations for Chef Kwon Seong-joon's restaurant. Approximately 110,000 users flocked to make reservations, and the app crashed, demonstrating the popularity of Chef Kwon Seong-joon.
In response, Chef Kwon Seong-joon said, “I've been receiving reports that the server has crashed,” adding, “I think the app is crashing because of physical limitations.” He also apologized, saying, “I will quickly normalize it,” and “I'm embarrassed and sorry because it's the first time I've experienced something like this.”
He later wrote that there were 100,000 people trying to make a reservation, not 50,000, and apologized again, saying, “I'm very sorry.” “We'll look into it,” he said, adding, ”We'll consider reducing the number of courses and the price per person and increasing the number of reservations.”
