PLAVE, 'Hello, Asterum! Encore' Concert Held

"When we said we'd press 5,000 albums, I told them it was too much. But there are over 5,000 people here." (Eunho)

It was a fresh shock to the music industry. At first, it was full of prejudice. Are they idols or AI? However, they were no different from other idols, except that their worlds were different.

They became idols through practice, and they write their own songs and choreograph their own dances. Now, they have grown beyond 'virtual idols' to 'But Your Idols'.

PLAVE entered Jamsil Indoor Stadium. They held 'Hello, Asterum! Encore' on the 5th and 6th. It is an encore version of their first fan concert held in April.

They have more than doubled the size of the Olympic Hall (3,000 seats) they held 6 months ago. About 12,000 people gathered over the two days. Fans from Korea and around the world also visited the site.

Yejun said, "I'm happy to invite PLLI (fandom name) to Asterum again. Even though we prepared a bigger space, the tickets sold out in 10 minutes. I hope you enjoy it."

"They're all great in terms of singing, skills, personality, and humor. They communicate really well. I felt for the first time that being a fan of someone doesn't mean you can give love, but you can also receive it." (Malang Pyeongple Dan)

The 'Pyeongple Dan' (Lifelong PLLI Dan) that we met before the concert excitedly recited the members' charms. They also boasted the slogan that they had created over 9 hours the day before. They attended this concert as well, following the last one.

The charms that PLLI talked about could be fully confirmed at the concert. PLAVE opened with sweet love songs such as 'I'll Wait' and 'I Just Love Ya'.

Here's one advantage of virtual idols. They changed their costumes for each song, creating a variety of looks. They changed from blue uniforms to sporty looks in an instant and continued on stage.

They continued the punk atmosphere by singing 'Why Why Why?', 'But your idol', and 'Pump Up The Volume!'. The fans' cheering methods also exploded.

PLLI's cheering sticks are also called 'dumbbell sticks'. The members who love working out designed them themselves. They shook the dumbbell sticks while doing 'pull-ups', a muscle-building movement. They completed a unique scene.

Recently, the way most people enjoy performances has changed. They are busy taking pictures with their phones rather than with their eyes. However, no one held a phone at the PLAVE concert. They just held their cheering sticks and enjoyed it with all their heart.

Eunho was moved, saying, "Your cheering methods penetrated our in-ears." They even had an impromptu cheering competition. They even enjoyed the performance with one heart, surfing.

They also hosted the corner 'Inside PLLI'. The members each became Joy, Sadness, Anger, Roughness, and Anxiety, empathizing with PLLI's emotions. They showed off their 'Gagdol' side through various situational dramas.

They also did a cover song challenge. Eunho and Yejun showed off their pair choreography for Aespa's 'Armageddon'. Eunho and Hamin also exchanged rap parts for Dynamic Duo's 'Killing Nom'.

We also got to see Day6's 'Melting' sung by Noah and Bamby, and Yejun and Bamby's 'Pikki Pikki' dance. They also performed 'Was It Different' by Genie TV's 'To My Harry', which they participated in for their first drama OST since their debut, live without accompaniment.

They also had time to look back on the emotions they've built up with PLLI. It's already been a year and a half since their debut. They looked back on the memories they were most proud of while they were active. Eunho chose 1st place on 'Show Champion'.

He gave credit, saying, "It was the moment when I broke the stereotype of virtual and won first place on the first music show. It's all thanks to PLLI." Ha Min recalled his first offline concert.

Hamin said, "I met PLLI for the first time at the 'Idol Radio Concert'. I still vividly remember being surprised when I heard everyone's cheers and asked, 'Is this real?' Even now, this moment is so amazing."

The solo stage followed. Bamby sweetly performed IU's 'Hold My Hand'. Eunho sang 'Motorcycle'. He appeared on a motorcycle and rapped while hitting the audience.

Hamin showed off his English rap from NF's 'The Search'. We could also see high-difficulty action choreography such as aerial flips. He increased the sense of immersion by fighting the villains like in a game stage.

Noah chose 'Drowning' by Woods. A white tent came down and he presented emotional R&B. The concert hall shook with endlessly rising high notes.

Yejun completed Rosé's 'On The Ground' with his own sensibility. He started by playing the piano himself. He completely overcame his vocal nodules and showed off a clean tone.

"We'll go forward"

There was also a special performance. When PLAVE said that he would approach the fans, the lights went dark. The audience all started to murmur, asking "How?"

That's understandable, because PLAVE is a virtual idol. They've shattered countless prejudices, but it's impossible to come out on a protruding stage without a screen. At that moment, a 360-degree screen came down from the protruding stage.

The fans cheered loudly. The members looked into PLLI's eyes on the protruding stage and sang 'From' and 'Dear. PLLI' with all their heart.

"You were surprised when we came down from the sky, right? "'Dear PLLI' is a song for you, so I wanted to share it with you from up close." (Yejun)

"Being surrounded by PLLI, it feels like I'm in the middle of a small universe. I saw you all singing along." (Eunho)

Time was running towards the end. 'WAY 4 LUV' and the unreleased song '12:32' were released. The songs that will be included in the 3rd mini album were pre-released.

Noah said, "We decided to release it in advance so that we can show you more diverse songs at the encore concert. '12:32' is a very meaningful song to us. He hinted, "I'll spoil it slowly."

The way PLLIs shouted for an encore was also special. The fans waited for the encore stage while chanting, "We'll be back soon." They sang along with the same volume as the first time. They enjoyed the moment they had been waiting for for a long time.

Bamby said, "When I said I would stand in this big concert hall, I was worried that it would be full. But it was full," and greeted, "You are the ones who always give us amazing things. Thank you for making our alien life special."

Yejun said, "Performing in front of PLLI is the most fun. I'm happier than PLLI today," and "Thank you for giving me this love. Thanks to PLLI, nothing is impossible in my life. We will run towards the next chapter again,” he said.

Lastly, Eunho bowed his head and said, “When we first said let’s print 5,000 copies of the album, I thought, ‘Isn’t that too much?’ But you’ve already been here for over 5,000 minutes. It feels like a dream to be able to create this record together. I’m grateful to PLLI for helping us break the stereotype of virtual.”
