BTS's J-Hope has shared an update ahead of his discharge.

On October 2, J-Hope posted several photos on his account with the caption, “It's October. I've made up a very even photo. I'll see you on discharge day. Enjoy it.” The photo showed J-Hope with his hair shaved off ahead of his discharge.

The photo shows J-Hope's heartwarming appearance with a long haircut ahead of his discharge. He looks like he's enjoying his vacation and is wearing the latest hip fashion, showing his true 'Top Idol' personality.

J-Hope also released a photo of himself watching IU's Seoul encore concert of her world tour last month. He also shared a heartwarming story by paying for a social event for his fellow soldiers.

On Sept. 29, an online community posted a picture of nine soldiers holding a banner with J-Hope's photo. The banner read, “Full sponsorship and support from Sergeant Jeong Hoseok and the sergeants of the Baekho Recruit Training Battalion, Motivation MT: BTS J-Hope.

A speech bubble drawn over J-Hope's photo read, “Comrades, thank you for your hard work. I'll take a shot, so have fun! Loyalty!” The bubbles read, ”Thank you for your service. J-Hope reportedly paid for all of his fellow soldiers' social events, and the soldiers made the banners to show their gratitude.

J-Hope enlisted in the Army on April 18 last year and is currently serving as a recruit training assistant at the 36th Infantry Division, and is set to complete his enlistment on October 17.

All of BTS's other members except Jin are currently serving in the military, and following J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook will be discharged in June next year.

Meanwhile, this year's soldier's salary is 1.25 million won. It will increase to 1.5 million won in 2025.
