Hanni “NewJeans” has been asked to appear before the National Audit Committee. However, she is a witness. There is no compulsion to attend.

Kim Joo-young, the new CEO of Ador and Chief Human Resources Officer of HYBE, was also named as a witness in the National Audit. She will be questioned about her response to managerial abuse.

If they submit an excused absence, they will not have to appear before the National Assembly. However, witnesses may be ordered to accompany the committee. If it is not a legitimate reason.

The National Assembly's Environment and Labor Committee (Chairman Ahn Ho-young) held its third plenary meeting on the 30th. On the agenda was a request for the attendance of witnesses and references for the National Audit.

Hanni claimed to have been treated unfairly during a YouTube live broadcast on Nov. 11. She said she was told to “ignore” a HYBE manager.

“I spoke to the new CEO,” Hanni said at the time. She said there was no evidence and it was too late,” he said at the time, adding, ‘I felt like a liar all of a sudden.’

Some have raised the issue of workplace harassment. Idols should be viewed as workers. They pointed out that the company should be held accountable since the incident happened within the company they contracted with.
