BLACKPINK's Jennie has corrected her fandom name 'Ruby'.

Jennie left a voice recording for fans through her agency's official channel on the 19th. Jennie said, “Hi, Rubies,” in English.

She continued, “This is Jennie. Stay tuned, and I'll see you soon. Love you, bye”

Fans speculated that “Ruby” was Jennie's new personal fandom name, but it overlapped with Kwon Eun Bi's fandom name “Rubi”. Some reacted that Jennie should change her fandom name.

However, “Ruby” is not Jennie's official fandom name. Her agency, OA Entertainment, explained, “It's just a nickname that fans call her on the news page that provides updates to fans.”

Jennie's full name is JENNIE RUBY JANE. The “Ruby” part of her name is what her fans were calling her. “We hope there is no misunderstanding,” the agency said.

Meanwhile, Jennie will make a comeback with a solo single in October. She recently signed a partnership with major American record label Columbia Records.
