Suga is sent to the prosecution without detention

'BTS' singer Suga (Min Yunki 31) has been handed over to prosecutors.

The Yongsan Police Station in Seoul sent Suga to the Seoul West District Prosecutors' Office on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) at around 2 p.m. on the 30th. It's been 24 days since he was arrested.

Suga is accused of driving an electric scooter while intoxicated on the night of June 6th. His blood alcohol content was 0.227% at the time. It was nearly three times the legal limit for license revocation (0.08%).

He appeared for police questioning 17 days after the accident (Aug. 23). “I'm sorry. I am sincerely remorseful for the great disappointment I caused to many people,” he said.

He admitted to the charges during the investigation, which lasted about three hours. As Suga admitted to the charges during the initial police investigation, he was reportedly sent to prosecutors without further summons.

Suga apologized again after the police investigation. “I am deeply remorseful and regret my wrongful behavior,” he apologized, ”and I will never do this again.”

Meanwhile, Suga is currently working as a social service worker. He is due to be demobilized in June 2025.
